Vikram Solar Commissions Gangaikondan Module Facility

Vikram Solar says its Gangaikondan facility has produced its first module; buyers should verify current certified output and module interface before changing a mounting package.

A new production line is only one input to module and mounting procurement review.

First-module production is a supply milestone

Vikram Solar says its Gangaikondan manufacturing facility has been commissioned and has rolled out its first module. PV Magazine reports that the first products are Hypersol N-Type TOPCon G12R modules; further integrated expansion remains planned capacity rather than current output. Separate factory news from project readiness

For a live project, a factory announcement does not replace product certification, available allocation, delivery commitment, traceability review or the approved module datasheet. EPC and procurement teams should use the supplied module revision—not nominal cell technology alone—to freeze rail span, clamp zone, support spacing and handling instructions.

Buyer impact

Before substituting a module supplier or format, issue the module drawing, frame details, clamp-zone requirements, electrical data, shipment plan and site loads to the mounting engineer. Apex can assess the interface for roof mounting or a single-axis tracker on project-specific assumptions.
