What the project signals
Suntech reported grid connection for a rooftop solar project in Shah Alam, Selangor, developed with Malaysian distributor NexGen AI Capitals. The installation uses an existing commercial complex rather than new land.
Why mounting due diligence matters
Commercial projects require more than module selection. Roof condition, structural loads, waterproofing, access routes, crane windows, fire pathways, shutdown planning and utility approvals all affect schedule and risk. The mounting package must be coordinated with the operating site's constraints.
What buyers should request
An RFQ should include a roof survey, layout assumptions, fixing and ballast details, corrosion and drainage review, construction method statement and a clear grid-connection responsibility matrix. A grid connection is an execution milestone, not proof that every rooftop configuration can use the same mounting detail.
Buyer impact
This is a commercial rooftop delivery signal for developers and balance-of-system suppliers. It does not indicate that Apex supplied or participated in the project.
