A new NHAI solar procurement is open
The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has issued a request for selection for NHAI Phase-I solar PV projects through tariff-based competitive bidding. SECI lists publication on 28 October 2026, a pre-bid meeting on 12 November, online bid submission by 14 December and bid opening on 17 December. The public listing does not establish an Apex role, equipment order or project award.
What bidders should confirm before pricing
This notice is a procurement opportunity rather than a notice to proceed. Developers and EPC bidders should work from the issued RfS, technical specification and project documents to confirm the project scope, capacity, locations, programme, commercial conditions and performance obligations. A tender title or portal listing alone is not a sufficient structural design basis.
Mounting-package impact
For ground-mounted PV, the bid basis should connect the approved module envelope and layout with survey and geotechnical information, design wind and other loads, corrosion exposure, drainage, access, pile or foundation assumptions, installation tolerances and inspection records. Clear interface definitions between civil, structural and electrical packages help prevent late-stage quantity, programme and change-control risk.
Practical next step for EPC teams
Reconcile the tender schedules with the construction method and evidence required at technical review before fixing the mounting scope. Apex utility-scale mounting solutions and a pile ground mounting system can be evaluated against the verified project inputs; Apex is not represented as selected for this procurement.
