Panamint Capital has broken ground on the 1.2 GWdc Big Rooter solar project at the Twin Oaks power station in Robertson County, Texas. PV Tech reports that the first 491 MWdc phase targets commercial operation in August 2028.

How the phased build is planned

The reported second phase is 658 MWdc and is expected to begin construction in December 2026. Staging a project at this scale makes the handoff between civil work, foundation installation, structure supply, modules and electrical balance of plant a live procurement issue rather than a late design detail.

What mounting teams should prepare
