The municipal RFP scope

The Town of Jackson, Wyoming has issued RFP 27-06 for a specified grid-interactive solar electric power system at its Core Maintenance Facility. The bid notice seeks a single firm for design, construction and installation of a system rated at least 230 kW DC, including photovoltaic modules, mounting support systems, inverters, wiring, conduit, disconnects and web-based monitoring equipment.

Programme and interface checkpoints

The town's notice lists proposal opening on 8 October 2026, council approval after final review on 16 November, a notice to proceed on 17 November and scheduled completion on 29 October 2027. Those dates are the owner's published programme, not confirmation that a contractor has been selected. The RFP also calls for complete installation and interconnection with the facility's electrical services.

Buyer impact for EPC teams

For a municipal facility, the mounting design cannot be separated from roof condition, drainage, structural capacity, electrical routing, shutdown access and the interconnection sequence. A compliant proposal should identify the survey information still needed, the applicable load cases, the responsibility for penetrations or waterproofing, and the handover records that will prove the installed configuration.

Next step for bidders

Use the issued drawings and site findings to build a coordinated layout before procuring rails, clamps or supports. Apex commercial rooftop mounting solutions can be reviewed against module geometry, roof material and confirmed engineering loads without implying Apex's participation in this procurement.
