The airport is seeking project partners
Hawke's Bay Airport has opened an expression of interest for delivery and co-investment partners for a proposed **12-17 MW** solar plant on airport land in New Zealand. PV Tech reports the proposed site covers 24 hectares northwest of the runways. Source: PV Tech.
Airport constraints belong in the structural brief
An EOI does not confirm an EPC package, final layout or mounting supplier. Before a ground structure is priced, the team should define aviation and access constraints, land tenure, geotechnical conditions, wind exposure, corrosion environment, grid interface and construction sequencing.
Buyer impact
Developers and EPC partners can prepare a qualified technical basis now, while keeping quantities and delivery commitments conditional on partner selection and approved design. Apex's solar ground mounting systems can be assessed against the actual site inputs rather than a preliminary capacity figure.
