Germany Awards 2.13 GW of Ground-Mounted Solar Projects

Germany's Federal Network Agency awarded 2,134.66 MW in its July 2026 ground-mounted solar auction, creating a new pipeline of projects that still must clear execution gates.

Auction awards support project progress, while final structural scope remains site-led.

Awarded capacity is not an installation schedule

An auction award can advance revenue planning, but it does not establish the notice-to-proceed date, final site layout or supply-package awards. Developers and EPC contractors still need to close design, permitting, grid, civil, logistics and construction interfaces before releasing structural procurement.

Buyer impact

For each awarded site, validate geotechnical data, corrosion exposure, design loads, module dimensions, pile testing and installation access before selecting a mounting configuration. Apex's utility-scale mounting application provides a practical starting point for aligning those inputs with the ground-structure solution.
